K-FLEX side adjustment: No two heads are alike.

K-FLEX side adjustment: No two heads are alike.

Most adjustment systems think of fit in one dimension: they control how tight the head ring sits. That is enough for many people – but not for everyone. If your head is a little wider, narrower or less regular than average, a standard system often will not give you a truly perfect fit.

K-FLEX solves this. The system combines lateral fine-tuning, individual height adjustment and a 360° head ring – three levels of adjustment that together create a fit that truly feels made to measure.

What is K-FLEX?

K-FLEX is KED's adjustment system for maximum fit precision. The lateral adjustment is the key feature: it allows a width adjustment that other systems do not offer. Combined with the height adjustment and the 360° head ring, the result is a helmet that can be adapted to the head in all relevant dimensions.

  • The side adjustment in detail

While the head ring regulates the circumference, the K-FLEX side adjustment works perpendicular to it. It allows fine-tuning on the left and right, which becomes particularly relevant when the head does not match the “standard size” or the helmet shifts slightly to the side despite the correct head ring setting.

  • Height adjustment for vertical precision

Heads differ not only in width but also in height. The K-FLEX height adjustment lets you move the head ring vertically – for a fit that is truly right up and down as well.

  • 360° head ring as the basis

The evenly fitting 360° head ring prevents pressure points and ensures a stable hold. It forms the foundation on which the lateral and vertical adjustment builds.

K-FLEX vs. K-FIT

K-FIT is KED's compact system for a precise fit and visibility – the right choice for most everyday situations. K-FLEX takes the adjustment architecture further and adds an extra dimension with its lateral fine-tuning. If you need more than K-FIT offers, K-FLEX is the answer.

What is K-FLEX?

K-FLEX is KED's adjustment system with lateral fine-tuning, height adjustment and a 360° head ring for a particularly precise, individual fit.

What is the difference between K-FLEX and K-FIT?

K-FIT controls width and comfort via a dial. K-FLEX adds a lateral adjustment option for an even more individual fit.

Which KED helmets have K-FLEX?

Rayzon, Spiri II Trend, Crom (M and L) and Street Jr. Pro.

Who is K-FLEX particularly suited for?

For everyone who can't find an optimal fit with standard systems, or for riders looking for maximum comfort without pressure points on long tours.

Is K-FLEX difficult to adjust?

No. The three adjustment levels are independent of each other and intuitive to use.
