Innovation in every detail

Mips® Brain Protection System

The EPS inner shell absorbs impact energy with maximum efficiency. The integrated Mips system complements this protection with a low-friction intermediate layer that allows controlled micro-movements, so forces can be redirected away from the head. In this way, it is designed to help reduce the risk of brain injuries.

RIB Cage

The new Rib Cage System is a targeted structural reinforcement in helmet design. Integrated reinforcement ribs increase the helmet's stability without adding extra weight – for reliable protection combined with high wearing comfort.

LED rear light and reflector

The integrated LED rear light including reflector significantly increases your visibility in traffic.

Especially at dusk, in the dark or in bad weather, light and reflection ensure you are noticed earlier – for more safety on every ride.

Glasses garage

The rubber eyewear garage provides a non-slip resting point for your glasses.

It holds your glasses reliably in position, prevents slipping and protects against scratches – even when moving or on uneven ground.

Covers and visor

The removable covers let you flexibly adapt the helmet to different weather conditions. They offer additional protection from wind and cold, or can be removed when needed to optimize ventilation.

The visor protects your eyes and face from headwind, rain, insects, and flying particles, ensuring more comfort and a clear view on every ride.

Not every helmet lives up to the demands of modern mobility.

The Reach DT-1 combines high wearing comfort, well-thought-out protection technologies, and a precise fit in a clean, minimalist design. Developed for everyone who values quality, safety, and style in everyday life.

How does the Reach DT-1 differ from other helmets?

The Reach DT-1 combines a deliberately reduced design with high-quality protection technologies and well-thought-out comfort details. Features such as the Mips® Brain Protection System, the structural RIB Cage reinforcement, and the integrated LED rear light ensure a high level of safety, while removable covers, a visor, and an eyewear garage flexibly adapt the helmet to everyday life and the weather. The helmet for everyone who values function, quality, and design in equal measure.

What does “Designed and Engineered in Germany” mean?

KED helmets "Designed in Germany", including the Reach DT-1, are developed at our site in Freiberg am Neckar with the highest standards for functionality, safety, and wearing comfort.

Are the removable visor and covers included?

Yes. The Reach DT-1 comes with a visor and weather protection covers included. Both can easily be removed or fitted as needed – for maximum flexibility in different weather conditions and uses.

Is the Mips® Brain-Protection-System really a safety plus?

Mips® can reduce rotational forces that act on the brain in angled impacts. A low-friction layer allows micro-movements and is designed to minimize the risk of serious injuries.
