The E-Bike World Cup for Everyone 2024 – An event for everyone

The sixth edition of the E-Bike World Cup for EVERYONE will take place in Ischgl from September 6th to 7th, 2024. In 2023, Ischgl will host the event for the fourth time, where e-bike world championship titles will again be awarded. Numerous innovations are planned for next year at the world's largest e-bike race.

World championship titles to be awarded

If from 6th to 7th When the E-Bike World Championships for EVERYONE will be hosted in Ischgl in September 2024, a world championship title for professional athletes and casual cyclists aged ten and over will be within reach. Everyone has the chance to win. The rules for the world's largest e-bike race are simple: "While in the 'ELITE' rating class the fastest biker is crowned world champion, in the 'EVERYONE' rating class the participants compete against three riding time limits (gold, silver and bronze). If they fall below one of the three defined limits, the e-bikers receive an official JEDERMANN World Championship gold, silver or bronze medal," explains Dr. Markus Mitterdorfer (E-Bike World Federation). Anyone who falls below the gold limit can call themselves world champions. In addition to the medal achieved in the 'EVERYONE' rating class or achieved placement in the overall ranking of the 'ELITE' rating class, the best in each age group will be rewarded according to gender and rating class.

What innovations will there be?

The highlight with the race for the E-Bike World Cup for EVERYONE will take place on Saturday, September 7th on two different routes. The 28.1 km long route in the “EVERYONE” category leads with an altitude of 530 meters over wide paths with a fantastic panorama and impressive mountain scenery, where you can comfortably cycle to your World Championship medal.

New from 2024 is that there will be a few obstacles along the route in the EVERYONE rating class that require skill on the e-bike. But there's no need to worry: Anyone who doesn't want to drive through the obstacles can instead comfortably avoid the obstacle using an extended path.

The participants in the “ELITE” rating class will be challenged to everything on a 39.2 kilometer long, technically demanding route over 1,470 meters in altitude, which has been newly designed with steep climbs and spectacular single trails. Just like in the EVERYONE rating class, there are also elite obstacles in the rating class, which will offer another challenge.

On the day before the race (September 6th), an open qualifying session will take place on a shortened route for participants in the “ELITE” class. By participating in qualifying, the starting order is determined based on the fastest times. This allows the starters to secure a preferred starting position in the race. Participation in qualifying is not mandatory, but if you do not take part in qualifying you will automatically be placed back in the starting order.

The team classification is also new in both classifications. A team must consist of at least four people to be ranked. There is no upper limit to the number of people in a team. The times of the fastest three drivers in a team are added up and the fastest team receives an additional prize.

The following applies to e-bikes: All commercially available e-mountain bikes (Pedelecs) with pedal assistance of up to a maximum of 25 km/h and a motorization of a maximum of 250 watts are permitted for the race. An e-bike check takes place before, during and after the race, where all e-bikes are checked for compliance with the rules. If you don't have your own e-bike, you can rent one on site for a fee.
